everyone said this would happen. balls to them :)

ya know, bruin gets a ridiculously busy job and starts to have friends and committments and a warm house and finds the library and gets engrossed in local bird species and goes to seattle and sees all his lovies, and completely falls off the blogging map.

fine.

so be it.

but part of it is that i'm making some fantastic connections in the bay. and all of y'all who know me know that i'm far more a talking person than a writing person. i mean, not that i can't write decently, but interactive conversation is definitely where i'm at given a choice. and there's been many a scintillating conversation i must say. :)

it's true.

but to give you a brief update. i went back to seattle to visit for about 10 days. it was fantastic to see everyone albeit a bit weird to be a "visitor" which is a much weirder dynamic than living somewhere. and i think when i fantasized about going back to seattle, i envisioned visiting while living there. which doesn't really make that much sense except in my emotional head :) but i remembered the components of my life that i really appreciate in seattle that i'm having to work towards here, and remembered that they're possible. and that i created a REALLY incredible, dynamic, diverse, thoughtful, supportive, political, fun, VERY queer base, and goddam it, i can do it again.

had to work today. youth activist committee meeting. young people are so fucken smart. sheesh. my job continues to be a honor most of the time. hell, i've been writing curriculum on power analysis and popular education. doesn't it sound dreamy??
