2nd day in my new "home"

i gotta put home in quotes cuz it all feels so disjointed here. feels weird to move from a place where i had put in the hours, sweat, and follow-thru, and i was busy, occupied, had enough friends to keep me busy to a place where it's quieter and lonelier, and more introspective.

l called a friend, who i guess is a mutual friend, but more associated with her, to come hang out, and we went to the beach. laid in the sun and the sand. the weather here is much more conducive to human beings ya seattlites! our friend is excited about helping me find my dream bear-- she really thinks it's a plausible reality. wow. i can't even imagine :)

but really there's not many people for me to call. well, mebbe that's not true. and mebbe i'm in that weird denial time where i don't want to call people because i'd be acknowledging that when l goes home on monday night, i'm staying here.

6 months. that's what we agreed last night. gonna push thru it for 6 months. and if it doesn't work or i'm still bitterly sad and lonely and haven't gotten into skool, then i can come home.


big moves:
**went to rainbow, the biggest coop/worker-owned cooperative of fucken everything bulk. incredible. can't even describe it. the workers there share in the profit at the end of the year, there's an aisle of "sex stuff" - where the hell am i anyway?
**found the new glen park library that is opening october 16th and looks gorgeous.
**saw my new possible skool that looks astonishing academic and there are people in scrubs everywhere. i think scrubs are so fucken hot. i can't imagine a career that requires me to give up waist bands!
**went to the beach and stuck our feet in the water and the sand and the sun.
**found a community garden about half a block from my house that is kinda hidden and full of dahlias.


need to find:
**a good close-by coffee shop
**the trader joe's (blech, but it's cheaper people)
**a musical option (l and i talked musical theater on the way down - could you see me as an amateur nathan lane :))
**a job (oh yeah, mebbe that's important or something.
