hello!
i'm reporting to you from a sunny san francisco! right now i've just filled a crock with napa cabbage and turnips in preparation for kimchee, i made applesauce out of some wrinkly apples, and processed a bunch of other food from our new CSA at eatwell farms. i'm *so* excited about this CSA. today we got spinach, napa cabbage, broccoli, kale, chard, satsumas, apples, onions, turnips, and carrots. sheesh! we're only getting a box every 2 weeks cuz obviously, it's a buttload of food.
i'm realizing that i didn't post about the job interview i had yesterday. second interview with the aclu. about 75 minutes long. with the two folks who interviewed me before plus two student intern folks. i think i did good. they're supposed to let me know at the beginning of next week and i'm *so* tired of waiting. they asked a super good question about how i would respond in someone in a workshop equated homophobia and racism, which i had a ton to say about :) and then there was a good question about how to explain educational inequity to young people. i like them a lot. we'll see what happens with the job. i'll keep y'all posted. in the meantime, i'm working on an app for a STI health educator position.
it's been great to have janet in town. today her and erica and i got in the car and drove south down highway 1 to a beautiful beach with rolling waves and hot sun. and talked and sunned ourselves and walked a bit. yummy.
