yes indeed, gentle readers, i have officially become jill's houseboy. i suppose such is the life of a slightly-neurotic, over-organized unemployed dramatic fag. yesterday, for example, i baked bread, marinated tofu, organized the spices, wiped down the spice shelves, mopped the floor, watered the plants, went grocery shopping, put lights on both jill and my own bikes, and tidied the living room. while i used to think this would be the life, i think i've decided that my tolerance for house boy status would expire more quickly than i thought.
i have made drastic strides in making our house a little more organized, clean, and intuitive. and i'm glad for that. it's also helped me make the space my own. too bad i don't have a digital camera cuz then i would post massively geeky pictures of the organization.
i left my cell phone in the other room so i wouldn't obsess over the phone call that is supposed to come today. while i really want that job, i think i've already prepped myself for rejection. and i'm similarly excited about the idea of working at rainbow so the world won't end. but it sure would be nice.
i really want job stuff to happen so i can start making some more political inroads and committments. grrr.
